Forget about buying ink and toner for three years

Brother is introducing three small all-in-one printers and one laserprinter that include ink or toner for three years of printing. The target group is the home office and SMBs. The printers plus compatible consumables for three years of printing come in one box. The only thing the users need to buy is paper. Brother’s ”All In Box” offer cost from DKK 1.999 incl. VAT.

One of the classic sources of irritation when working with printers and all-in-one printers is when they need “fuel”. Like a car they run out of fuel and you need to go out and buy new toners or ink cartridges. Usually it happens up to a weekend or in the evening when you do not feel like leaving the home to get new supplies.

If you are a Brother business customer, it is possible to subscribe to your consumables and have them sent to you automatically. Then there is always toner and ink in stock, when you need it, and the large printers do not have down times in the middle of a busy period of printing and copying.

Private Brother users with small printers and all-in-one printers do not have the same option. But instead they can choose from four new Brother printers that come as complete all-in-box offers including toner or ink for three years of printing. Even the warranty is good for three years, but the paper you need to buy separately.

Brother has selected four models from recent printer series for the new ”All In Box” collection. This includes two inkjet all-in-one printers DCP-J1100W and MFC-J1300DW as well as the mono laser printer HL-1210WVB and the mono all-in-one laser printer DCP-1610WVB.

All-In-Box – print in colour

Brother DCP-J1100W and MFC-J1300DW are colour all-in-one printers that are ideal for the home office or SMBs due to their design and features. DCP-J1100W have colour printing, colour copying and colour scan while MFC-J1300DW also offers colour fax. These two units come with a warranty of 3 years with on-site SWAP-service.

In the new ”All In Box” packet four ink cartridges are included, enough ink for 6,0000 pages in mono and 5,000 pages in colour*. This is how much a family, or a small company, print on average in a period of three years. *

Both Brother DCP-J1100DW and MFC-J1300DW have wi-fi. They come with a 150-sheet paper tray and can print on both sides of the paper (2-sided). They also have a 20-sheet automatic document feeder that makes it easy to handle documents that need to be copied or scanned.

Print speed is 12 ipm and both printers are compatible with smartphones and tablets. If you choose the slightly larger MFC-J1300 model, you also get NFC (Near Field Communication). With NFC you can place your (Android) smartphone close to the printer for a few seconds and then the document is printed. NFC can be used to ensure that only approved users have access to print from the printer.

Brother DCP-J1100DW and MFC-J1300DW are operated via a 6,8 cm touchscreen. A built-in media port also makes it possible to print directly from f. instance a USB stick or a memory card without using a computer.

”All In Box” – print in mono

Brother knows from experience from thousands of customers in Denmark that many only print and scan in mono. They do not need colour printing and prefer a higher print speed instead.

This is true of SMBs and home users that work with reports and multiple page print-outs. They are the target group for the two other printers in Brother’s new ”All-In-Box” collection, that include toner for three years of printing. They also get a three year warranty with on-site SWAP-service the first year, which is nice, for safety sake.

Brother HL-1210WVB is a compact laser printer that can print up to 20 pager per minute (mono). It has a 150-sheet paper tray, wireless connection and the option of connecting to a smartphone.

With the ”All In Box’” offer comes five toners, each yielding up to 1,000 pages. This means that you can print 5,000 pages for the coming three years before having to go to the store for more toner. All you need to buy - for printing - during this period of time is paper.***

Brother DCP-1610WVB is similar to HL-1210WVB design wise. However, DCP-1610WVB is an all-in-one printer that also offers copy and colour scanning.

Print and copy speeds are 20 pages per minute and you can scan directly to email, image or file. DCP-1610WVB also has wi-fi, mobile connection and a 150-sheet paper tray. Five toners each for 1,0000 pages are included.

The practical ”All In Box” from Brother are available from end of September. Brother DCP-J1100W and MFC-J1300DW come with a warranty of three years with on-site SWAP-service and HL-1210WVB plus HL-1610WVB come with three years warranty with on-site SWAP-service the first year.

**The included amount of ink is based on an average of 200 printed A4 pages per month. 60 % printed in mono and 40 % i colour according to the ISO/IEC 24711 standard. The ”All In Box” comes with four separate ink cartridges.
